Congratulations D&D Team! Based on the performance of D&D Transportation Services Inc’s freight transportation operations, EPA has named our company a 2021 SmartWay High Performer.
For the fifth year, EPA will publish a list of SmartWay High Performers, and we are excited to say that D&D Transportation Services Inc. made the list.
Among the thousands of companies partnering with EPA through SmartWay, some are a step ahead in meeting the challenges of the sustainable goods movement. These leaders represent all types of SmartWay Partners, including shippers, truck carriers, and logistics service providers — The United States Environmental Protection Agency
What it all means is that based on annual emissions testing and reporting from hundreds of trucking and transportation companies across the nation, D&D has proven to have achieved significant trucking efficiencies that merit recognition.
We submit efficiencies and air quality performance reporting to the EPA annually. They then rank the performance into 5 ranges. D&D has been ranked in the category whose efficiencies and air quality performance was awarded. Companies that participate improve their overall performance rating which results in positive brand recognition from our clients. So, it is good for us, good for them, and great for the environment.
Overall EPA’s SmartWay program helps trucking companies advance supply chain sustainability by measuring, benchmarking, and improving freight transportation efficiency but as we see it, helping improve the impact of shipping on the environment is critical. These are the statistics from the EPA.
We are proud to be one of the many shipping companies to address these trends and challenges, through the SmartWay program. The benefits for us include:
These three core components of the SmartWay Program also deliver benefits for the growth of our company and sustainability for the future:
So, join us in celebrating this remarkable and responsible achievement. We are proud to be a SmartWay partner.
